The district has 117 seats and the Interim Advisory Council of City Councils and Kebele Councils has 200 seats.

In the district, a road connecting Kebele to Kebele has been laid, and about 70% of it is accessible, of which 25 km is asphalt, 81.78 km is gravel.

Its powers and functions are to enact and monitor the implementation of laws that are beneficial for the acceleration of the political, social and economic development of the district. It is an institution that is responsible for monitoring and controlling the activities and responsibilities of the judicial body. The organization of the institution is structured at the level of district, city and kebele councils, and the members of the council are elected by direct public elections held every five years. The members of the council are representatives of the entire population. As they are, their obedience is only to the constitution, the people and their own conscience.

In order for the institution to be able to better fulfill its powers and functions, three standing committees with a total of 15 members have been established and are fulfilling their duties and responsibilities. The district has 117 seats, and the temporary advisory council of the city councils and the Kebele councils have 200 seats. The internal organization is almost the same as the zone council, and it is an institution organized with the structure of the speaker, deputy speaker and standing committees. .

According to the constitution, the district holds regular meetings four times a year, and the kebele councils hold regular meetings 12 times a year. In addition to this, the body responsible for holding development and good governance by holding emergency meetings as necessary, preparing guidelines for social, economic and political issues that are not covered by the laws of the region. is it.
